About Fine Art Photography

I am a photographer based in the North Wales/Cheshire boarder village of Hawarden.

The emphasis of my photography is to capture nice natural atmospheric images, which my clients will treasure for years to come, and I am eager to see the reaction on a persons face when they see that special image of themselves or their loved one that has surpassed all their expectations.


Weddings

We have all been to weddings where the traditional wedding photographer has had everyone fall in for parade outside the church for what seemed an eternity whilst the guests main concern is getting to the bar at the reception, and the special day starts to resemble Trooping the Colour.

My approach is informal, I will catch some of those formal family shots but at you and your guests leisure and not at pace that suits me.

Even on a lot of my posed shots I still like to give an informal mood to the picture I will work around your wishes and requirements, the only mistress we all have is the weather!

I like to get to know my client prior to a shoot so that I may understand their needs and requirements on the day and so that they feel at ease, relaxed and confident with me and regard me as if I was a guest at your wedding and not the Regimental Sergeant Major with a camera.

Reportage is a good proportion of what I will photograph at a wedding, after all you have invited me there to capture a special day in you and your families lives and
record a small piece of history. Hopefully those images will become a record, a snap shot in time that in centuries to come people will look at and spark their imaginations as to what it was like on that wedding day and what were those people like in that photograph.


Fine Art Photography

I have a keen interest in my fine art photography and have had some great fun incorporating it with portraiture shots to give some striking and different portrait images. I regularly use a Jacobean Mansion as a location for shoots which provides a unique back drop to my images.

My aim is to never be intrusive with my photography, give you images that you truly adore and leave you with an experience that you thoroughly enjoyed.

I photograph Weddings, Portraiture and Christenings (I am CRB cleared and hold a current certificate) besides this I also supply stock libraries with images and shoot some commercial work. Please feel free to contact me with any photographic requirements that you may have.
